If you desired to escape from the modern Chongqing, this is an appropriate place. Ci Qi Kou is an ancient city preserved for tourism purpose. From 2012, the place is easy to go by Metro Line 1 (Red) to Ci Qi Kou station, cheap and...More

The old Cíqìkǒu Ancient Town has a very distinctive, fascinating, dark coloured architectural style dating back to the Ming dynasty (a bloody long time ago). You walk through fascinating cobbled streets past small shops selling...well your guess is as good as mine. Very Chinese!!! Noodley...More

Good and easy to visit if you haven't seen many old towns - my favorite is still Hoi An in Vietnam. Packed with people and snack shops and cheaply made souvenirs. Fun for people watching and escaping the concrete jungle of Chongqing.

If you like to shop, then this is the place. There are many different shops selling different things. However, if you are don't like the Sichuanese food (esp. "huajiao"), you would probably find it hard to eat something.

This was a fun place to visit and find inexpensive souveniers. The buildings are very interesting and you can find some good local food but some areas are a bit commercialized and it can get crowded.

The concept and building are nice. However, this place is too commercialised and moving around can be difficult as it is crowded.

Walked through this area as part of a tour, and appreciated the old buildings and tried some local snacks and shops.
