Worth a trip to see the Hydro-dam, new and old lift systems. The journey to the top is eased by escalators (thank God!) and the further 170 odd steps are quite easy....apart from the Chinese that refuse to obey the one-way signs for going up...More

I hav visited it twice. The museum and all the surroundings are impressive, super well maintained and very interesting. Beautifull gardens and amazing view. I travelled here in 2016, in spring.

You descend 150 feet under water to the exhibit room to view he ancient rock carvings. It is the longest steepest escalator both up and down we have ever seen. The museum is fine, but not that interesting. The decent and view under water is.

Its difficult to get excited about a standard museum when there is so much exciting things to see in China. Its worth a visit and interesting to understand the history of the area before getting on the river cruise.

First time travelling to China, specifically Chongqing. Very impressive. Very polite people, not minding their curiosity of being black, and wanting to take pictures with me. Extensive food choices. The museum itself is an art. The ancient and very rich culture that dates back to...More
