Situated in the modern square of the same name (Jiefangbei Square) located in the heart of the upmarket Chongqing commercial district. Monument was built after WWII to celebrate the end of the same war, hence its other name "Liberation Monument". In truth the only really interesting thing about this monument is that when it was built it was the tallest... More

Premium shopping district with an expensive clock tower in the middle. Good landmark to meet and gather with the rest of your friends, especially in big groups. Nothing interesting.

This is the shopping center of the city. However, the shops and department stores here are really expensive and over price. Recommended for the brandname lover and willing to pay extra.

It smells crazy to think that the jiefangbei monument used to be the tallest building in Chongqing! Although it's all fancy shops around it's amazing to compare it to all the skyscrapers enclosing it.

This monument is just a tower in the middle of a square full of expensive stores like Prada, Givenchy, etc. It's interesting to take a walk but not a place to spend a lot of time.

The actual monument isn't that interesting now it's surrounded by shops much taller than it but the history is.

Basically a clocktower but the centerpiece of this shopping and commercial area. Not something I would seek out for a visit but you will encounter it if you are in the area walking around.

Just a clock, not very big but is to signify when communists retook Chongqing. Rolex face, which is very 'communist '

This is one of the must visited area of Chongqing. People used to dance here, meet here and enjoy. Luxury brands available and visit will add another moment in your diary.
