Unless you're a cruise ship passenger or interested in a sightseeing river cruise, I would recommend avoiding altogether.

I think it will be better when the massive construction project in the area is completed, though I have no idea how pedestrian- or car-friendly the design/layout will be by then. For now, and maybe the next two years, the Chaotianmen docks have no appeal....More

Unless you’re catching a boat, there’s nothing here. It’s a building site, so a lot of it is blocked off. Don’t bother coming.
