Beijing is one of those enigmatic cities, you either love it or hate it. Personally I like Beijing, with its mix of modern architecture and its historical buildings and temples, and the hustle and bustle of a large cuty. Just make sure to time your...More

You don't have to be a sports lover to appreciate and love this place. The park itself is a very beautiful place, and the of course you have the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube. Both stadiums are simply magnificent, with architecture traits to feast...More

Visited shui li fang and bird nest. They were just side by side. The place is really huge and no cars can drive into the place. Not recommended to go with elderly as there need a lot of walking. You don’t have to purchase tickets...More

I echo what a lot of other people have said about this park. It's huge and interesting; however, I do have to point out one thing that I think gets missed a lot, which is the Ice Cube building at night. The entire outside of...More

1. If you are in Beijing, DEFINITELY go to the Olympic Park. It is Excellent++. 2. For the easiest journey, take the Beijing Metro. Get off at “Olympic Green” which is on lines 8 and 15. The cost is very cheap: probably less than 50p...More

I like this area. Nice futuristic buildings made for the Olympics in 2008 (which I in fact visited), a lot of Chinese contemporary art all around the (very) long walk way. Many tourists, very clean, and with an hygienic touch to it (especially the toilets)...More

There is so much to see at this park. If you are able to find a cheap tour, take it and walk around. The architecture and buildings in the park are truly beautiful. There are cartoon characters located throughout the park that are cute to...More

Went in the evening on advice of locals. Water Cube looks magnificent lit up as does the Birds Nest Stadium. The real highlight are the things happening off to the sides: dance troupes practising, speed skating training, karaoke, bizarre performances by locals. You can do...More

The air quality should be ok. I wouldn't bother with the tour. Just pay at the entrance and you can make your own way up to the roof. There might not be a lot to see though.

There are some great Olympic Games souvenirs inside the stadium. A “Normal” entrance ticket is 40 Yuan (20 Yuan for concessions). I recommend the encapsulated section of 2008 Games grass/soil, price 150 Yuan.
