Landmark in Beijing

Apart from those world heritages, here is one of the popular landmark in Beijing. Just take a look if you have spare time, personally I prefer the view with night light most.

Strolled around enjoying the outdoors on a crisp clear day. Wonderful to see so many people enjoying the facilities, running, picnicking, dancing, flying kites. A real feel good spot!

If you've ever been to Olympic Parks in other cities, it's worth checking out. Even if you haven't, it's still a sight to see. It won't take long (90 minutes is pretty sufficient) to see the massive, impressive Olympic Tower, Bird's Nest, and The Cube. It's free, unless you want to get a tour inside the buildings.

If you are a fan of modern architecture, this is a place not to be missed. The Bird's Nest is amazing.

If you have the time, worth a walk through to see the venues you may have seen on TV a number of years back, but access inside is very limited, so you just stroll around the outside and look at stadium and buildings. If you have the time and the air is clear, great, otherwise a drive by should cover... More

There are two parts to the "Olympic Park", and they are quite different from each other. While the Olympic sites (Bird’s Nest, Water Cube) are locked down and inaccessible in the early morning (the area looks like an abandoned, fenced-in amusement park and only comes to live in the evening) the avenue that stretches northward along the Dragon waterway is... I'm back in Beijing for a day before I head home and decided to visit the Olympic site. Access to the site by subway is straightforward and I didn't bother paying to get into the stadium - walking around it was enough for me. If you've seen enough temples then it's worth the couple of hours to get there and... More

The Olympic Park is a security controlled area. Like the Beijing subway, you need have your bags x-rayed and yourself walk through a metal detector. We paid a quick visit to this area just to see what the stadium looks like from up close. There is a combined ticket to visit the "Bird's Nest" and the "Aquatics arena". On the... More
