been using the subway everyday for the last year to commute. The most efficient way to get around Beijing! But it closes early at night - don't depend on it for getting around after about 10:30PM

We did the subway a couple of times and wish we had done so more often. Super easy to use and the traffic in Beijing is horrendous. Subway every time.

We were highly impressed by the cleanliness of the subways. It was easy to navigate and most directions are also given in English.

The easiest and best way to travel in Beijing. This, in tandem with the bus, gets you practically everywhere. The subway allows for folding bicycles, and small e-scooters.

Metro/Subways can be dicey in a foreign city, especially where you don't speak the language. The Beijing subway is practically foolproof. At first, it looks overwhelming, but it's easily managed.
