This is a gorgeous park in scenic Shijingshan. There are rides for children and adults. The canyon ride and water slide are great fun. The view from the Ferris wheel is spoiled by the dirty windows. There's a great range of snacks and ice creams, reasonably priced. They're building new rides, presumably, ahead of the 2022 Winter Olympics, which will be held in the same district. Great fun and great value for money.

Whilst this park does not match a Disney park, it has a tiny entry price, very reasonable food prices and cheap rides. So whilst it may not present quite as well I think most people would have just as much fun for a bargain price! And it’s also a slightly different take so something a little different is always good. We had fun on our visit!

Everything I read about Shijingshan leading up to the trip was about how it is an absurd ripoff of Disneyland. As an amusement park fan, this is the reason why I went. I think this characterization is a bit off. Yes, there is a big castle, but Lotte World has a castle that is more similar to Disney's. Outside of that, I didn't really pick up on the copyright infringement wonderland claims. Otherwise, the park is pretty decent. This is a heavy local park and you won't find any tourists here. The park was pretty dead when I visited on an April Sunday as opposed to Happy Valley. The rides and attractions are definitely second tier, but there are many of them and they are pretty funny. The park is home to a Tagada ride (look it up on YouTube), which is the highlight of the park. Otherwise, there are some fun dark rides and walkthroughs. All that being said, this should be a stop for amusement park lovers only. Other tourists likely will not be amused. You don't need a full day for this if you do decide to go. Maybe 3 hours or so.

Went to the park with my brother and boyfriend. We'd all read the reviews and looked forward to a 'so bad it's funny' kind of day. While we certainly got our fair share of that (what with the drained water rides, crumbling seating areas and unholy piles of rubbish everywhere) we also came away with a feeling of having seen somewhere genuinely charming.
As grim as this place can feel, particularly on a fairly polluted February day, we saw plenty of young people and kids running up to rides and looking around with genuine excitement. It's not hard to imagine how amazing this place must have been when it first opened in the 80s.

The majority of rides were closed but we just had a ball looking around this surreal place and laughing, Ed Sheeran blaring on the loudspeakers. I also enjoyed a surprisingly good fruit pizza in the empty restaurant - definitely recommend that over the burgers.

If you're in Beijing and have a bit of time I don't see how this place could let you down for 10rmb. I definitely recommend it for a few giggles, and to see a place that probably won't be around in a few years.

We visited Shijingshan Amusement Park in August 2016. It cost 10RMB to enter and the ride prices varied from about 20RMB to 60RMB per ride. Many of the rides were closed and a large part of the park was under construction or overgrown. We actually quite enjoyed walking around the park because it was so strange . The place is so unloved despite being really busy. There are actually some really good rides but I doubt the health a safety for them is up to European standards. The park is really easy to get to by Beijing Subway and even has a dedicated Stop (Baijao Amusement Park). So a really cheap day out.

Bajiao amusement Park is certainly not the most fantastic place to visit but it is something to do if you live here locally. If I was just visiting Beijing, this would certainly not be anywhere near my top of the list of my must things to do. However, if you have nothing better to do and want to explore the city without having any real expectations of a real thrill amusement park to behold, then it’s a place and thing to do.

For starters, it’s very cheap. If you want to ride everything then it starts to add up but don’t worry, you won’t want to ride everything. That isn’t even a dilemma for you because most rides aren’t even open. I love Disneyland and it’s kind of funny because this park rips off some of the elements of Disneyland shamelessly but T.I.C. Just go with the flow, have an open mind, enjoy yourself as much as possible and enjoy the sights. If I was here to entertain my children, I’d definitely stay away but it’s fun just to laugh at everything and be glad you spent $1.50 to get in. It’s right off the subway line 1 stop so you can’t miss it and enjoy the snack food as it’s relatively cheap and not horrible.

We visited here with low expectations after reading the other reviews online and said low expectations were duly fulfilled. IF you are going to the park expecting a fun day out at an amusement park, expect to be hugely underwhelmed. We saw maybe one in ten rides operational, the water features had all been drained and looked awful, the whole look and feel of the place was eerie and decrepit. At one point we genuinely wondered how they can charge people to enter. However, IF you are going to explore what looks like an old abandoned theme park; you'll have a great afternoon wandering around for a couple of hours. It's 10yn in and it felt almost post apocalyptic which makes for some great photos (that's why it got 2*!) but not in the traditional Disneyland sense.

I went here after reading about the previous problems concerning the copyright problems.
Well... Those copyright infringements are now almost all solved but you can still see some remnants). But anyway. Arriving you pay a small entrance fee (10rmb) and then it is pay per ride. Ranging from 10 RMB up to 60 for the rollercoasters. So in the end for the couple of hours I went there I spent about 400RMB which is quite a lot taking into account the state the park is in.

This is the biggest problem. The park is well past it's prime time. It used to be the place to go to. But nowadays with happy valley it has lost a lot of customers and now only some Chinese from outside of Beijing seem to visit it. Which makes it quite a foreigner free place where you can expect to get stopped now and then to get your picture taken as being a foreigner.

Now for the rides itself. Most of them are closed... really, I think more than half of them are closed and those that are still open seem to be in quite an appalling condition. Thus the rollercoasters aren't for the weak of heart at all. To be honest, After doing lots of crazy things in my life, a rollercoaster ride doesn't really excite me anymore. But here my heart was beating faster than ever. All that was rushing through my mind was, will this thing really kill me? Will this be the end of me? So for the thrill seekers this is a nice visit to make once.

The play hall part where you can waste your money shooting stuff and playing video games might be better to avoid. This is why:
- The laser guns are badly calibrated. I can proudly say that all similar games in China I wasn't allowed to play anymore after passing by becase they said they would go bankrupt as I kept winning the big teddybears. But here I only got a score of 94 where I normally always get 98+.
- spend 50RMB on coins and then noticed that a lot of the machines are broken down and so I ended up spending almost all at the shooting the hoop basketball games.
- Although I managed to get all highscores on the basketball games and getting a lot of "points" I still only got a very small reward (but this is typical for these kind of places). Here the biggest reward was that all the Chinese were looking full of admration how I was able to get such good scores.
- The games where you shoot at a screen like "terminator" are broken. Most of the times I couldn't reload or even aim at the enemy. So please avoid these, you might as well just go throw your coins at the screen.
- ...

There also was some animation for children on a kind of a stage. Seemed to be a harry potter spin off things involving bubble blowing.

When I left around 1pm I noticed some more rides were opening (log ride, etc.) I don't know why they weren't open before. But I did notice mechanics running around. Maybe these things are connected in some mysterious way.

In the end I really did enjoy myself although not a advisable place to go.
