It is just a tourist street for shopping and eat. Prices are a little bit high. I would not reapeat, there are better places in beijing to stay

This is a gateway to tourist area. There is a metro station nearby. If you stay in tourist area then you will see this gate a lot. Very pretty at night.

This dates back to 1400 however it is so over commercialised and modern now. 1st thing I saw was a Starbucks.... It has goimid energy in the evening and it has many people. Lots of stalls and markets. Milk tea and street food etc. But...More

This gate is situated to the south of Tiananmen Square. It is once the southern entry into the Inner City. The architecture is definitely awesome. Remains an important landmark when visiting the Tiananmen Square.

I really like the building and the lookout, moreover they have a great 3 level historical museum on top of the building with quality pics about the old Beijing. Definitely worth it!
