Our hotel was right around the corner from Wangfujing so we spent three evenings on the busy street after touring Beijing each day. Lots of great people watching and a good variety of shopping and eating places. Very safe, much of it is pedestrian only....More

Walked down here and it was ok but it's basically just shopping. I missed the night Market, I think that would have improved my visit had I got that right.

Very busy & crowded. Quirky & exotic food. Food I tried all below average. Go for the experience & not the food. Very touristy. Make sure you wear close toes shoes even in the summer heat. Those long & sharp skewers were thrown all over...More

Wajfujing street itself is a nice shopping area with several shopping malls. But the highlight here is the food market. It is unbelievable what you can find here to eat. Try a scorpion (is he still alive?) Or other animals that you would never think...More

My friend and I had two interesting but suspicious encounters with local English speakers. Very agressive; and both wanted to show art at a local bookstore on Wangfujing. Be careful with personal information; same experience near same location on two separate days.

Waste of time. It's an outside walking street. Nicer atmosphere for a walking street is qianmen avenue.
