One cannot help but see the Gate which lies at the end of Tiananmen Square and is the prelude to the Forbidden City which lies behind the gate.

Tian'anmem Square. Who hasn't heard of the rebellion there? It literally changed the course of Chinese history. But then again, all rebellion changes the course of history.

all of Tianamman Square is excellent, and worth a few hours of your time, looking at the buildings and the tourists from all over China mainly queuing to see Chairman Mao

Huge and amazing. It is unreliable that people built all these lots of years ago. It is simply perfect and beautiful.

Visited during summer hence many tourists are in the area. This is another iconic place in Beijing, so even though crowded a must-visit.

Easy to walk leisurely thru the buildings. Impossible to see everything in 1 day. Need to pick & chose which building you will tour, but still very worthwhile.
