The name of this park means "Altar of the Sun." I paid a visit to this free-admission park during lunch hour of my conference in Beijing. Nestled in the business district, this park is the oasis where locals hang out for a hearty singsong and...More

This was one of my most enjoyable visits in Beijing. In the morning there were groups of up to 30 people doing synchronized dancing (not sure whether it was Tai Chi, Makarena or Zumba). Most of them were middle aged or old women, though there...More

Beijing lacks green spaces, period, and especially so in center city. This is a great park in the old Embassy area, so really among the most tree covered places in the entire city. Daily tai chi classes (often to a weird Chinese-techno beat), along with...More

Situated in the embassy area just west of the CBD this lovely park literally translates as Temple of the Sun and was a place for ritual sacrifice to the Sun by successive emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. But fortunately there’s none of that...More

This was especially a people's park. Friends getting together dancing or playing music. Great rock formations with fossils and odd geological shapes.

Ritan Park is a green area in the middle of the highly populated and developed district of Chaoyang. The traditional buildings, lake and superbly maintained landscape are worth a visit.

I didn't have much time and was able to walk to this nice park that is close to my hotel in the Central Business District. Very relaxing with lots of trees and a few neat things to see. I would recommend this if you park.

Ritan is a wonderful park, full of flowers and beautifully kept gardens. Very relaxing oasis in the busy Beijing, with surprisingly few visitors (on a Sunday morning).

Beautiful park around the corner from Eclat Hotel. Enjoyed the escape from busy Beijing. Listen to the. Chinese opera singers, watch the couples practising Chinese dancing or locals performing tai chi. If you are hungry enjoy lunch at the Stone Cafe.

Nice Park, green, quiet; people playing cards, resting, walking, calm atmosphere. Restaurant inside.
