The park and waterways was a lovely place to walk, go for a paddle boat tour on a Sunday morning in a less crowded place before heading off to see the nearby Drum Tower and hutongs.

Beautiful park shared by locals and tourists alike - easy access and we visited in April when foliage?blossoms were just starting to bud.

I suppose it will be better in the summer, I went in March and the flowers were not even out. But great to take pictures.

Great idea to experience Chinese culture. We saw dancing, Taichi ball, shuttlecock hackie sack and something juggling sticks. The warm and kind Chinese folk invited the kids to try all of them. Amazing eye into Chinese life.

There is a cafe inside this park but mainly sells snack foods and ice creams, cold drinks. No hot drinks though.
