In 2018 I did this tour.
The tour at the start of visiting here was interesting but as soon as we entered the gallery a sales lady jumped on and didn’t let go. If I hadn’t already wanted to purchase something before I got there I would have told her to go away instead I just allowed her to follow me around and try talk me into things I didn’t want. I ended up finding a bracelet I did want so I guess she was happy in the end. It was frustrating for us as we then left to go to the Great Wall then came back here for lunch. I would have rather gone to the Great Wall then shopped and had lunch. Food was nice though they accommodated my being vegetarian with some hot chips and a plate of cabbage haha seemed to be the general food offered for me over there.

Despite getting a card of authenticity it is nothing more than injected glass.
Pretty greed colour! The silver is questionable too and the characters on the pendant fell off and underneath where they were glued on the green is now clear glass!
Buyer BEWARE! The prices too are high, but then I got fooled! Costume jewellery is what it is!

We were taken here as part of our trip to the Mutianyu Great Wall with Archers tour for lunch. After a very brief and deliberate inaccurate introduction to Jade we were lead to the massive show room. As soon as you don't a bit of interest, you'll be pounced on by the sales staff. As I was looking at a rather large and expensive piece, the lady who gave us the talk (Lisa) come to try sell it to me. Even our local guide from Archers (Katlin) joined in on the hard sell, almost as if she was on a commission. It was hard core hard sell as I've never experienced before. When I said I'd think about it after lunch (which was a good buffet) she did get upset. After lunch and as we were leaving, she was waiting at the bottom of the stairs and made me a better offer. As the rest of the tour was already on the coach, I had to make a rushed decision to get it. As it was packed really well, I didn't check it carefully until arriving home to discover it had several chips and had been painted with coloured wax in several areas. For the high price and the constant reassurance by our local guide that this is a reputable shop, I made the assumption that it can't be damaged. What a stupid mistake!

I returned recently from a cruise to China where I visited the Run-Ze Jade Garden as a part of the organised cruise tour. I was assured that they were reputable (by the tour guide and venue), I was told that all Jade came with a 'guarantee' certificate, and the venue was presented very professionally which gave the impression of credibility. Given this, I purchased a very expensive 'jade' item for in excess of $4,000AUD.

Upon returning to Australia, I had the item professionally appraised by a jewellery valuator, who discovered that the 'Jade' was not actually jade, but in fact was dyed quartz. The item was appraised at less than 1/3 of the ticketed price. The gold was genuine which accounted for the appraised value, however the 'jade' component of the item was worthless.

I contacted them and they have 'said' that they will address the issue, but I have yet to hear anything further.

Regardless of whether they address the issue, or whether this was a legitimate 'mistake', please be aware that they have sold worthless 'Green-Stone' under the misrepresentation of it being genuine Jade.

AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!

I was fed a crock by this bunch of crooks. I paid over $5000 for a 1 foot tall sculpture of Fish & Lotus. I recently went to get it appraised for insurance and discovered it was worth about $1000.

I think the travel agency Parco Polo should not take visitors to this place. Their reputation is at stake too.

Having said that, the piece is beautiful and everyone admires it.

This place shouldn't be #231 on things to do in Beijing it should be in the top 20. First of all this is the largest jade factory in Beijing. You start off with a talk which explains the manufacture and design of jade. They will also explain and help you recognize good vs. bad quality jade. Prices are definately negotiable and you should get between 30-40% off (ask for a manager to get the manager special). They also gave free gifts for myself and 2 kids! Lovely place and must see location. Ask to see the back room where they store most of the more expensive jade bracelets and other jewelry. Great Experience!

I always wanted a piece of jade, it is different than all my other jewelry but I have not priced it before. The sales people were very nice. I was interested in a pendent and possibly earrings. I made a purchase, naturally not at the asking price. They guaranteed the pieces to appraise for far more than I paid or they could be returned. I took them to my jeweler upon returning to the western suburbs of Chicago, they have been in business since 1911 and have done all of my previous appraisals. They provided me an appraisal which was about 40% of what I paid for the items. I am most disappointed and am calling to return my items which is what they promised would be possible. We visited this location on 4/23/16.

I visited this place a few weeks ago. Once you arrive into the actual shop (which is huge), the sales associates follow you around like crazy. I found a green jade bangle I was interested in, but the associate kept trying to pressure me into buying a more expensive bangle that was “old mine jade”, and guaranteed it was jadeite which is better quality. Long story short, I paid $750 USD for this bangle and once I got back to hotel that night I read the reviews on trip advisor. The horrible reputation this place has lead me to then get this bangle appraised to be sure of its authenticity & value. The bangle was valued at $100 USD and I believe that was just to be nice. The bangle had been bleached, polymer added, and had internal cracks that all reduce the value significantly. My cc company disputed the charge for full refund.
DO NOT BUY JADE HERE AND MAKE YOUR TOUR GUIDES AWARE THAT THEY SHOULD NOT BRING PEOPLE HERE FOR THIS SCAM

Visited here as part of a group tour which included lunch. As soon as we walked in, everyone realised this was going to be a hard sell and a tourist trap. A very brief explanation of how special jade is, how to pick the real from the ripoffs and then Into the huge showroom where you are constantly followed around and asked what we wanted to buy. I loathe this kind of environment and whilst some of the jade was indeed lovely, the prices attached were ridiculous. If your stilly enough to pay these prices then more fool you! We were shuttled into an adjoining huge ‘hall’ where plates of mass produced food was dumped on the table.

My wife and I went to this tourist trap on our group tour to the Beijing Wall. We bought a couple trinkets for a total price of $10 US dollars. When I returned to the states I had a credit card charge of $120. I immediately disputed the charge. The company provided the so-called receipt for the transaction but the bottom half where the price and my signature were supposed to be was conveniently blacked out. My credit card company is pushing back, thankfully. AVOID!
