岔道城的城门楼已经被重新翻修过了。来了八达岭就一定要来这里看一看。明朝，从八达岭到南口是没有其他城堡的，仅有岔道城一夫当关，与八达岭形成掎角之势互相呼应。共同捍卫居庸关。
