this place's only positive is its one advanced run - speed wise, it may be the fastest in the beijing area. however speed gets docked after a few hours when intermediates and beginners clog a connecting flat and because they don't know they're about to fall hard you'll have to play dodge. the negatives are many: - weekend ticket for 228 via reservation includes round trip bus, and snowboard+boots includes ONLY a 6 hour ticket. that means upon 9am arrival and 4pm departure you're left with an hour with nothing to do. accidentally stay a few more minutes? you'll be charged with a full price 2 hour ticket. nanshan nor huabei do this idiotic thing and include Full Day in their offering. then again the advanced run gets boring after half a dozen times. - lifts are unbearably slow and poorly arranged. there's a 4 seater for the advanced run, but only a 2 seater for intermediate runs. this might be good for some level management, but on busy days the restless beginners start clogging the advanced runs anyway. - no variety. there's a narrow freeride park but it's not maintained and dangerous. from what was told by a guard, the management doesn't care to as their core clients aren't that type. - food prices are higher than nanshan and huaibei. in the latter i feel it's acceptable and still worth it. for yuyang i feel gouging. - staff is a mixed bag, but can't compare to nanshan's professionalism or huabei's effort. noticed lifts weren't manned at times... - snowboards have got to be the worst i've ever seen. steel bindings and heavy. maybe from when they opened in 2005? final say: come for a short time if you have your own gear when the people are very few and when you've brought an mp3 player for the lifts.
