This is a lovely bridge on Kunming Lake linking it to an island. You can enjoy the view from a distance.

Can't complain! Part of Summer Palace complex, this bridge is a living relic of Imperial China. Not the biggest attraction but worth to walk (at least). Recommended for some shots, but don't waste too much time. The view from the Buddhist Incense Tower is really...More

Was a but unimpressed wit this bridge. It is nice but not impressive. It gets you to a small island where you can take the boat the the boat house (north west of the palace).

The magic number nine pervades Chinese dynasties and counting from the end to the middle there are nine arches. Simples. Part of the great Summer Palace experience this can be views from the long corridor.

This is yet another wonderful piece of Summer Palace architecture, over the enormous Kunming Lake, to be seen.

When you visit the summer palace, take a look across Lake Kunming and appreciate the structure of this lovely bridge. It is rather breathtaking and a nice photo opportunity. We did not walk across it, but simply enjoyed the beauty of the architecture before us.

So wanted to revisit this bridge 23 yrs after the first time. I got lucky with the weather and got a local boat accross the lake and got a lovely alternative view of this beautiful craved bridge.

Every year in another season we visit here, We love the spring. It is recommended to take the long walk around the lake, about 2.5 hour, to get the best view on the lake and the bridge.

A fascinating and impressively built bridge in a beautiful locale. Worth a few photo opportunities while in the Summer Palace.
