What a disappointing experience. It was similar to going to a zoo. There was no attempt to educate or at least be informative about butterflies. There was no sense of conservation or care either. Nothing!

I went there with two little girls, it was a mesmerising experience for them with all the beautiful butterflies and shining pupae. It's a place to get a practical explanation of the life cycle of insects. Ideal for kids and adults alike.

The butterfly house is a great stop in Mombasa. The staff are absolutely fantastic and genuinely care about Kenya's coastal and forest environments. Our guide explained to us how they pay Kenyans who live near forests to protect the forests and to raise butterfly cocoons....More
