The game is easy to spot, as the grass has been grazed to lawn height by herders bringing in large cattle / goat / sheep herds to graze. This is more noticeable on the reserve boundaries. It's also a fact of co-existance - so just get over it and enjoy the spectacular game viewing. We were in Feb and saw... More

Being in the middle of where every year thousands and thousands of animals migrate every year. The crocodiles laying in wait for a easy meal and the hippos protecting territory..

We were on safari for two days. The scenery is awesome. We drove in from the north (down to The Fig Tree Camp) in the morning. Went back out that afternoon. The next day we toured on the other side of the river. Was not disappointed although we did not see a Rhino. Great adventure.

We saw the wildebeest migration across the Mara River, and it was one of the most spectacular sights ever!

We have traveled across Kenya and Tanzania, but the experience in Maasai Mara in Kenya, aside from perhaps NgoroNgoro Crater in Tanzania, was the most outstanding. Kenya allows for the drivers/guides to drive across the savanna, getting tourists like me within feet to all wildlife, including feeding lions, slumbering leopards, fighting rhinos and graceful giraffes. The animals amazingly so ignore... More

Hippos right outside the hotel. Looking at them while eating your breakfast or lunch was great fun. A lot of other animals came to the river to drink.

Rather a low season for masses of animals yet managed all but the rhinoceros. One imagines that the ideal time to go there must be at the migration; but, then -all those crowds!

The access to the animals were amazing and breathtaking. The size of the crocs was surprising. Seems like I was in a natgeo program.

We LOVED the Mara River and I would definitely recommend it to all. While we had missed the migration we still got to see so much just sitting on the banks. There were still many animals crossing and drama to be seen. We saw many Hippos, Zebras, Wildebeests and even a few crocodiles. We sadly watched one baby zebra get... More

I went to Mara for safari for 3 times, all with group and budget camp, and only this time with Charles (organizer) and Patrick (experienced driver), which made that trip was the best. We got big five, and many lions, cheetah. We were supposed to be in Naivasha on the way back, but seemed they forgot, after few minutes, they... More
