    Amazing! So much fun🦒
Giraffes are my favorite animal in this area so to feed them was a lifetime experience. Just like feeding my puppies but only bigger. 🐶 To be able to interact with them was amazing and something I’ll never forget if you love giraffes like I do ♥️ you definitely want to check this out. The Experience doesn’t take long, and it’s totally worth it.

Interesting place to learn about Rothschild giraffes and their future
We visited this place on our half day tour of Nairobi. It was an interesting place to visit, hand feeding the giraffes, learning about their near extinction and their rescue back. This was a very well presented place, with knowledgeable guides, exhibitors and the giraffes themselves. A must not miss whilst in Nairobi.

Can be very crowded but great giraffe interactions
As you visit this facility, you are provided a small bowl of food to feed the giraffes. They usually have around 10 Rothschild giraffes in the facility either as permanent residents or temporarily until they can be reintroduced to the wild. There is a long elevated boardwalk where the giraffes can walk up and be fed by the visitors. It is quite fun to interact with the giraffes, but can be extremely crowded at times when you are trying to get a picture.

    Small park, Big giraffes!
This is a small park, so easy to navigate. They is one 30 minute video talking about how they are conserving the species of Giraffe, then one long landing to share space with others to feed the giraffes treats. Instructions are easily labeled, and there were plenty of hand washing stations. There was an information center that showed more of the history of the center itself, but I feel like it could have more information on giraffes in general. They have a very nice gift shop! We were in and out in about an hour.

    Memorable Experience
My kids and I had a fantastic time feeding the giraffes and learning more about wildlife conservation. Being in such close proximity to a giraffe allowed us to truly admire its stunning patterns, creating a beautiful and memorable experience for us. The guides were both knowledgeable and skilled in assisting us with photography and videography, making this an enjoyable and educational adventure.

    Twiga with a full belly
I am a returning ex Kenyan resident who was many many times at the Centre. One can see the success story as the Centre has grown and modernized over the years. The entire group had smiles on their faces and enjoyed spending time with these beautiful creatures.

    lovely
A very popular place to see giraffes up close (and some that overlook them) and feed them. Early morning or late afternoon is best as giraffes seek shade in the middle of the day. Beautiful wooden nature trail area next door for walking.

A fun visit, especially on a weekday
I ended up visiting the Giraffe Center twice, on a Friday and on a Sunday. Weekends are a madhouse while weekdays are much calmer. The giraffes are endangered Rothschild's giraffes and the centre supports their reintroduction into the wild, so visiting was a fun way to support a good cause. On both visits, after washing hands thoroughly, we were given a small bowl of giraffe pellets. On Friday, the staff then answered questions and took our photos as we fed the giraffes; on Sunday, it was too crowded to interact with the staff, so most people took their own photos. The giraffes took the food quite gently and it was fun to interact with them while we were feeding them, but the signs warning us to watch out for giraffe headbutts were accurate if we tried to touch them otherwise.

    Best start to Africa!
What a fun day! Feeding mesmerizing giraffes and marvelling at the Rothschild giraffe was our first stop in Kenya. So clean and so well managed. Great way to ease into the feeling of Africa. PS. It's right opposite Giraffe Manor at a fraction of the cost. Same giraffes across the patch of land.

We dropped by as part of a 3 day tour that saw us doing Nairobi, Hell's Gate and Mt Longonot National Parks. Feeding the giraffes is one of the highlights of this place. Take this from someone who has experienced it first hand, it's an encounter that transcends the ordinary. Standing face to face with a giraffe, you're struck by its magnificence. The sensation of its rough tongue delicately caressing your palm is as exhilarating as it is humbling. You feel a connection that bridges the gap between human and beast. There aren't so many places that can replicate the intimacy of this encounter. To imagine we would have passed it were it not for our guide Robert, is baffling. Only after his insistence, did we make the detour – a decision for which we will be forever grateful. His passion for wildlife and his intimate knowledge of the place ensured that we didn't miss out on one of the most magical experiences of our lives. We contacted him through +254725894994 and rthuo541@gmail.com!

It was early this month when I realised that I have already had a booking for a game drive at Nairobi national park. We managed to see the big four giraffe, buffalos, lions and rhinos we stayed there for three hours and there after we went to shedricks there we enjoyed to see baby elephant being fed by rangers then we finished our tour by visiting giraffe centre were we fed the giraffes ourselves. The trip was amazing

We visited the Giraffe Center as part of a Micato Safari. Feeding the giraffes was awesome along with the education obtained by the presentation of the staff. If in Nairobi I would encourage going to the Giraffe Center!

This was such a cool, interesting and fun experience. The idea of feeding giraffes in Kenya who were known to be wild was always a fascinating concept to me.

All the giraffes care about is eating the food, and if you have interacted with Labradors, the experience will be hilariously similar (drool and all). It was a unique situation, to be able to to be as close to wild giraffes without them being confined in a zoo.

We also learned about their conservation efforts. And how two people who loved giraffes so much did what they can to raise their numbers from 130 to 1000.

This was hands down one of the most memorable experiences I've had in my life. If I ever visit Kenya again, I will gladly visit the Giraffe Center again.

This was so much fun. There were about 10 giraffes walking around as well as a family of warthogs.

You get a cup of pressed food and they love it!

There are presentations with good info as well as the animals. All in, we spent about 30min here.

Do this when they open, then drive over to the park to see the elephant orphanage. Wondaful 1/2 day combo.

What can I say, this place is amazing. The work that the centre does to to raise and repatriate giraffes back into the wild is fantastic. The guides are great and have an amazing amount of knowledge which they are really happy to share with you. You can spend as much time here as you want. Being able to feed the giraffes was great and to see them so close is amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone.

You can feed pellets to the giraffes - they literally take the pellet from your hand with their tongue. It is so cool and quite the experience.
