The dark, thin tongue extended 1 foot / 30 cm from the giraffe's mouth and snatched the pellet from between my lips. No, this is not some bizarre romance novel. It can be your reality at the Giraffe Centre. Normal people feed them with their hands with equally fun results.

Fascinating place, saving endangered giraffes in open space. We have the opportunity to actually feed the endangered giraffes, a strange and amazing experience which includes instruction on actually hugging the giraffe while you feed it! Staff friendly and very helpful.

Had great fun feeding the giraffes!. Giraffes can also kiss you, as they did my husband, but I took a pass. Gift shop had a good selection at reasonable prices. Purchased some carved giraffes, bracelets, coasters, bowls, wooden spoons.

Worthwhile visit to learn about giraffes up close. There is a two-story structure that easily allows visitors to hand feed giraffes. Beware as gentle as they seem, the calves in their excitement have been known to headbutt the person feeding them! The nature walk is short and worth taking. Depending on the size of the group, stay close to the... More

Another attraction within 10 minutes of the orphaned elephantine sanctuary that will get you nose to nose to a giraffe. Camera your way to family poses and watch out for a head butt.

This is a really cool place - you can get up close to the giraffes and feed them. You can put a piece of food in your mouth and they will pick it out of your mouth like a "kiss". I thought this would be gross, but it was actually a really cool experience.

This was my first time visiting and I did not see the hotel, which I hear is also beautiful. I just went straight to the park where lovely Miss Daisy was being fed by the tourists. She didnt love being petted, but she certainly liked to be hand fed. And you have to drop the pellets onto her tongue so... More

The giraffe's lick your face and you can really have a close interaction. Wait until mid day to go because it can be packed.

So far in 2017, I made two trips to this lovely attraction, and I went in 2012. I highly recommend stopping here for an hour to feed the giraffes! On a beautiful day in Nairobi, what could be better than getting a chance to feed and pet this sweet giants?? The animal keepers give you handfuls of food, and you... More
