Beautiful side trip out of Nairobi
I booked this directly from the Estate's website last minute during my work trip to Nairobi, and I'm so glad I did. It was a lovely afternoon, and I learned a lot about coffee production and the history of coffee in Kenya. The Estate is beautiful and our guide, Liz, was excellent. The last mile+ of the road to the Estate is not paved and pretty rough, so allow for extra time. The setting is just outside of Nairobi but so rural-feeling and peaceful. Their garden is also lovely. Highly recommend, and I didn't even mention the delicious coffee sampling!

    Excellent
I booked a morning tour on a rainy day and it was a day very well spent! James was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable not only about the coffee process, but also the flora and fauna of the place. He was patient and engaging and very enthusiastic. I thoroughly enjoyed and bought a lot of coffee to take back for friends and family.

    An educational & delightful afternoon
Ann was an exceptional tour guide - very knowledgeable and approachable for questions. Warm and friendly personality as well. We spent about 3 hours touring the farm, including a short side trip to the small lake that stores water for irrigation during the dry season, learning about the farm's history, the coffee-growing process, the production process, and, of course, the tasting. Then we had coffee and cookies in the lovely garden after purchasing coffee beans to take home. Highly recommend! P.S. You don't really need to use a touring company. Just contact the farm directly to book your tour, then take an Uber to get there and back.

Ok tour and have some coffee
Book your tour online $30 each and take an Uber for $10 each way. No need to spend $95 plus entry fee to hire a tour company. . Tour was ok and you spend about 90 min walking around the plantation learning about coffee. Sometimes a little boring and it can be hot out there. Coffee tasting and cup of coffee at the end of tour.

We had a brilliant time on the tour, James knew so much and was very engaging, fun and informative throughout. Would highly recommend for any coffee lovers or those who’d like to see how a strong Kenyan export is produced.

We took a bolt from our hotel to the farm no problems - would stay clear of those tours of this farm offered on Tripadvisor that are basically glorified hotel pickups that’ll charge you like 10x what you’d pay on bolt/Uber. Organise your own travel and pay fairview coffee estates directly!

Wholistic coffee that does not sacrifice perfect notes to do so. Every sip of their coffee takes me to childhood aromas that waft so much memory that it reawakens your palate and love for all things excellently balanced, delicious, and sustainable! Thank you :)

We have been welcomed very nicely, although we were a bit late due delays on our flight earlier on the day.

The estate and especially the garden are lovely, well maintained and organized as well. Tour was lovely and very interesting info about the coffee estate and way of harvesting/roasting etc.

Although we had a bit of annoyance at the and as my lady lost her phone in one the Bolt cars….. maybe we will get it back… but… 🥲

In short, if you like coffee go and see and buy also some lovely coffee at the estate.

This was one of my favorite things I did in Kenya. It can be a bit of a challenge to get there (my uber driver got lost twice) but so worth it! The woman who guided the tour (whose name I have embarrassingly forgotten) has a degree in coffee science and quality control or something like that, and is a wealth of information. On top of that, she's also very pleasant to talk to, and we had a nice conversation as we strolled around the farm.

And of course the coffee was great! I bought some to bring home but unfortunately I've almost finished it.
