The Valley of the Queens ticket gives access to QV 52 (Titi), QV 55 (Amunherkhepshef) and QV 44 (Khaemwaset) with Nefertari's tomb as an extra quite expensive charge. In Titi's tomb the colours of the sunken plaster reliefs in Titi's (probably the wife of Ramses III) tomb seemed washed out but we came to appreciate the subtlety and admire it for itself and were quite glad we visited. Most walls are protected by glass panels and there are many places where the plaster has been damaged. The ceilings have a faded but well-preserved star night pattern. There is a corridor with side chambers, a hall and burial chamber. The Valley of the Queens is less visited than the Valley of the Kings so less crowded.

We saw it in valley of queens. It was a small enclosure. The wall drawing were protected by plexi glass. Just OK.

The Tomb of Queen Titi is not as popular as some of the other graves in the Valley of the Queens, but still worth your time and attention. What the Egyptians are doing really good here, is protecting the paintings by placing (plexi)glass in front of the paintings.

The cost of entry to the Valley of the Queens was EGP80 which included entry into three tombs but not that of Queen Nefertari which was an extra cost. The Tomb of Queen Titi was one of the tombs that we visited and in fact was one of the few that was open.
There is not a lot known about Queen Titi other than she had the title of "Queen" and her Tomb lists her titles as King's Daughter, King's Sister, King's Wife, King's Mother and God's Wife. It is believed that she was married to Ramesses III and was the mother of the Princes Khaemwaset and Amonherkheopshef both of whose tombs are located nearby and have similarities with the figures and scenes depicted in Queen Titi's Tomb.
The Tomb is built in the style of Royal tombs of the time but on a much smaller scale and, unfortunately, a number of the painted reliefs are badly faded and damaged due to reuse. The Tomb has a corridor, side chambers, a hall and a burial chamber. The walls depict Queen Titi in a series of scenes before a range of different gods and both as a woman wearing the braids of a young girl and also with an elaborate hairstyle and headdresses with plumes suggesting an older woman. The walls of the burial chamber have a number of different animals painted on them.
Unfortunately guides are not allowed to enter the tombs so interpretation of the pictures and hieroglyphs is left to one's own imagination.
Well worth a look.

THIS was among four tombs we went down during a visit to the Valley of the Queens.
It is not in as good condition as some of the tombs but still has some lovely colours and scenes.
Titi was royalty in the 20th Dynasty but little is known about her apart from the fact that she held the title of queen.
Her tomb is smaller in scale than many royal tombs and it was badly damaged by later reuse.
Three side chambers were designed to hold her burial goods and show scenes of her before various gods.
The ceilings of the burial chamber have a golden background on which have been painted white stars.
The burial chamber also includes several animal guardians including a jackal, a lion and a monkey with a bow.
This tomb is worth a visit and it is a pity that some of its paintings have faded or been damaged.

Not in as good a condition as those of her two sons Amen-Khopshef and Chamuas perhaps as it’s closer to the surface but interesting to visit.

Many of the tombs in the Valley of the Queens were used as homes, hotels, and animal pens over time resulting in some destruction to the original reliefs and paintings. The small tomb of Titi had suffered a great deal but still contains some beautiful painted reliefs. No one is exactly sure who Titi was. She held the title of queen but to whom is unknown. Her tomb was one of the few that were open during our visit to the Valley of the Queens.

The tomb of Titi, perhaps the wife of Ramses III, is one of the 4 tombs that can be visited.
At the time of our visit, Egyptians were putting down the plexiglass for another professional photographer to take pictures. Great opportunity to also take some without reflection, because the plexiglass is quite dirty.
