I took the sailboat ride that included a visit here. Unfortunately, low wind and a pending cruise departure meant a rushed powerwalk thru only part of it. The paths are very nice and it's very lush and attractive. The views to the Nile coast and...More

From our residence in Aswan we went to the islands. We visited the Botanical Garden and Agu Khan Mausoleum. The boy who carried us on the boat was very sympathetic.

We visited this botanical garden on Kitchener’s Island. Lord Kitchener, a British army officer and a consul created this tropical garden importing tropical plants and trees from all over the world. The felucca ride to the island was enjoyable, be careful while embarking and disembarking....More

Kitchener island, as a whole, constitutes the Aswan Botanical Garden. There are many types of subtropical, exotic, and rare plantings and trees. The collection was begun by Lord Kitchener, that's why the island is named Kitchener. The island and gardens can be reached by felucca....More

You are better off spending your time and money elsewhere. The garden is not well maintained and does not provide any information about the trees and plants besides their names. And if you do go, avoid going on a Thursday since the garden is likely...More

The Garden is peaceful and well-maintained but does not really offer anything amazing or even out-of-the-ordinary. Still, it makes a pleasant stop on any relatively short felucca ride around Elephantine Island.

One of the most beautiful botanical gardens is the world where the rare trees in the world beside the banks of the Great Nile River are the most spectacular landscapes in the world

The botanical garden is very beautiful but we made a mistake to walk on the main path were there are a lot of vendors. Is very recommendable to walk away from the main path and enjoy the different types of flowers and trees.

You go there by boat. Trip was fun, walking through all those gigantic trees. There is a cheap coffeshop at the end to rest before you leave. There is also a praying area. Took us around an hour to see the whole garden.

Sure, it is worth it. It could be considered as a Nile River Cruise as well since you will visit the garden through a sailboat. But consider the following: - Arrange for an experienced guide. - Arrange for a good camera... More
