Briefly stopped here to do some shopping for the Guest House
Having finished visiting the areas listed in our itenirary, my driver and I stopped here for items needed at the Guesthouse where I was staying. It was hot, crowded, and chaotic here. We bought some kitchen supplies, fresh fruits, vegetables and freshly baked breads. What a way to experience the local vibes!

Staying still in the middle of it all at night was such a magical experience!
At first I was hesitant going to a crowded market in a country that is not perpetually stable. So I thought to just clench my body and hold onto my pockets a little tighter. But you know what, you will get glances just because you look different from the common townsfolk, but the vibrancy of the markets at night just gives off some unique magical vibe. It's kind of like the spirit of the city.

Aswan Market: A pleasant sensory surprise.
One block away from the River Nile and an amazing 2km long market opens up. While it is a tourist market, with some good haggling, you can get most things at Egyptian prices. A pleasant find that tantalised the senses.

Nothing special in architecture, nothing special in what they sell. Just moderate souvenirs and products for locals.

Found the markets ok to see, nice at nighttime under the lights.

More of a market for locals than tourist was my vibe, fruit veggies and spices was most common items but some stalls selling touristy stuff.

Had dinner at one of the stalls that was nice, so maybe have a wonder through and grab some street food at same time.

Is a normal market, only difference is that they have spices and is a local market so is a little bit more relax when compared to others.

Great small market that has everything. The vendors are not as rough as at the other markets. However there are plenty of street beggers in the area.

This was the last market we visited during our journey in Egypt. Wish I would have saved my money and done more shopping here. It is huge with a lot of selection.

Our guide took us to visit Moses at this spice and tea shop. He is a lot of fun and I walked out with an assortment of teas!

Visited in the day. It was ok.
Not too much hassle. Bought some bits and bobs. Always haggle the price as expected. Watch for pick pocketing kids! They got their little hands into our friends back but fortunately didn't get anything
