You will get a better understanding of just how much life has NOT changed in these Nubian villages. Despite it's size, this is a first rate museum. The lack of signage is more than compensated by the personal tour. The 20 EL fee is much too small. Please support Animalia.

On the way we passed Kitcheners Island now called Aswan Botanical Gardens. Upon arrival at he`s village we proceeded along very narrow almost touching houses all brightly coloured and some with arches across them,a by product of... More

A must visit place when you come to Aswan if you want to learn more about the Nubian life from one of the natives. You get to experience life in Nubia and learn about habits, animals and rocks that exist in the Nubian land

Mahammed Sufi, the maker of the Animalia Museum is extremely knowledgeable & passionate for portraying Nubian life, culture & the natural beauty of his area. One should start the Nubian villages trip with Animalia for better understanding.

Animalia is a little Gem. To have a tour by Mohammed is to hear from a man who is so passionate about everything Nubian. Fresh mango was very welcome too.
