Visited Khafre's Pyramid few days after arriving to Cairo. I entered the Pyramid and was very overwhelmed by how ancient Egyptians built those Pyramids, how long it took them, those Pharahos were geniuses.

Again excellent Pyramid , the Khafre's Pyramid is second tallest 136 meters high , only second to his fathers Khufu's Giant Pyramid . It's peak is covered with polished lime stone casing. It's east side view gives you good photo opportunity. Over the time most of valuable granite stones are removed and used in other palaces and mosques.

I went around sunset and rode a camel...such beautiful views. Try to go around the back to get photos without other people. You can go inside for a small price.

The second of the three big piramids: best preserved because you can see the original chalk layor on top of the piramid.

The Pyramids of Giza is about 4,500 years old. Imagine how a person can possibly built something which will be time tested and even be earthquake resistant. Marvellous!!

I blows the mind how the pyramids were built and how they are still in such amazing shape. I think this is a must see for any traveller.

The Pyramid of Khafre is only 10 feet shorter in height and 50 feet shorter in width at the base than the Great Pyramid of Khufu. It actually appears to be larger because it was built on higher ground. This pyramid is distinguished by a cap of limestone facing that is still retained on its top. The effect of this... More

This Pyramid still has some of the cover stones so it is the most photographed. There is nothing like spending some time here.

This pyramid along with the other two are truly phenomenal , it is truly a bucket list item. The views are spectacular and it is truly everything you think it is and more. There are camels available to ride along the area and TONs of salespeople I would advise caution, but it is truly a lovely place and no real... More

I just saw this from a little distance, I think but a lovelier pyramid there was not. The day was very warm but windy! I liked the combination.
