At over 240 feet long and 66 feet high, it’s a wonder that this mysterious sculpture was carved from a solid limestone block.

Did this as part of the tour. Best part was the night light and sound event. Quite extraordinary. The best place to sit and enjoy the Journey is the right hand side front. Great pictures of the Sphinx with the Pyramids behind.

We were part of the Viking Pathways of the Pharaohs trip, so all accommodations were arranged for us. The hotels in Cairo at the beginning and end of the trip were wonderful.
