Good locations and history but you will need a guide for explanation and get in and out without any problems. More to be seen in a single visit. Currently scaffolding on one side of step pyramid

These are also worth visitng when you compare the experience with Pyramids of GIZA.. Sakkara has a lot of history and better to get a guide. Memphis is worth seeing the lying down statue of Ramses..

This is an outdoor museum of antiquities from the town. While the museum is quite small, it contains two huge, spectacular and beautiful statues of Ramses II.

Whichever tour company or guide you use make sure that you are firm about what YOU want to see and do not be rushed around the sites then be taken to a relative`s bazaar,shop or workshop.There are carpet factories on the... More
