We visited Dashur, Memphis and Saqqara with Nermin from Egypt Best Day Tours and had a very interesting day. Climbing down the 140 steps (65 metres) into the Red Pyramid may not be for everyone, but was very interesting. Also the other very early pyramids...More

Memphis and Sakkara have been was the last point of our travel on Nile, from Asswan to Cairo. When I saw the pyramids with all that camels and their riders in front of me, I felt myself at the ages of pharaons.

See my other review. This is the same site as the Saqqara pyramid. Vendors are aggressive but dont let that take away from your visit. The pyramids are cool but the tombs are even better here.

In a very old location in Memphis is the Sphinx and the statue of Ramesses II. in local small museum of the monument. Location of Ramesse II statue. along the river Nile from there to Abu Simbel, testifies to the immense significance of this pharaoh.

Surprisingly very good museum. It was a nice experience in reading 100 years old books in the museum.

There are many Pyramids in Sakkara but these this pyramid is quite famous and amazing. Though they are carrying out the renovation work, it is beautiful and overlooking the Sahara desert.

This is another jaw dropping site and is nothing short of amazing. What the ancient Egyptians were able to achieve so long ago is simple outstanding. These sites should be on everybodies bucket list.
