The whole complex is beautiful and easy to get to with a tour group or cab. Due to recent unrest in the area, the whole complex was practically deserted during our visit. In some cases, this can mean that you are mobbed with touts and...More

Dahshur consists of the Bent Pyramid, the Black Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. It presents the most authentic pyramid experience as you are able to wander without camels, horses and touts. This is the Egypt of 30-40 years ago, and it is delightful.

Dashur is a great attraction to hit up while visiting Egypt. There is very few other tourists or peddlars. You could even call the trip peaceful which says a lot if you have visited sights in Egypt. We went down into the pyramid which was...More

You get to see, climb and enter the tomb of the Red Pyramid. You cannot enter the Bent Pyramid because of its current state, but you get to see it up close. Since I hired a private guide, I was able to walk around its...More

The Pyramid at Dahshur was the most impressive as it has three rather larger chambers inside unlike the Giza Pyramids. The ony downer is the natural occurring amonia gas encountered while wondering around inside.

Definitely worth the drive, it was incredible to be out in the middle of the desert, only saw 4 other people and they left as we arrived. Walking in the desert to the pyramid and just standing there, look up, is mind-boggling - and most...More

The Bent and Red pyramids were surprisingly big. With few people here we could contemplate the immensity and age of these wonders. Highly recommend going here. Just seeing Giza is not enough.

We visit Dashur in the morning. Dashur is less touristic than Giza and you can enjoy the pyramid majestic structure by yourself. THis pyramid will give you a simpler perspective of what the interior of Khufu pyramid looks like. The entrance ticket is cheap, around...More

I didn't go to the bent pyramid but saw it from far away. The story about how it was built was very interesting. Basically, this was a product of miscalculation. According to the story though, there was never a Pharoah buried inside (the one who...More

A must visit even if the guide says don't. Worth the trek but be ready for aching thigh's the next day. But worth going there and having the pyramid to yourselves as there were hardly any tourist there when we visited. But would recommend.
