It's an interesting pyramid, worth seeing just to compare the evolution of pyramid building. It does have scaffolding on a couple of sides, and with the much smaller stones, not as interesting to see as the more famous ones.

Went to see this pyramid after seeing the pyramids at Giza, as a guide to how the triangular shape evolved. It's not in a great state of repair, and the view is marred by extensive scaffolding on one side. Restoration work has been ongoing for...More

Unfortunately the Step Pyramid is currently under restoration and has scaffolding over 2 sides and cannot enter the Pyramid. This is why I have given an average rating

It is a phenomenal structure with its unusual shape, access inside it is not allowed as restoration works are being carried out from quite some time. The entrance to the pyramid is through one of the standing doors which takes you through a line of...More

This unusual pyramid is set away from the other pyramids in Giza. It has an interesting history and there are some stunning colourful tombs to visit while you are there. You can also go inside the red pyramid. Well worth visiting if you have the...More

The step pyramid is notable as being the earliest of them all, built under the direction of Imhotep. A hall of columns, the Imhotep Museum and several tombs are on the same site

This is the oldest monumental stone structure on earth and the first pyramid. The remains of other pyramids and temples nearby and views of the Giza pyramids in one direction, and of the Dahshur pyramids in the other.

We visited Djoser Pyramid with our tour guide. It is the oldest of all pyramids and combined with the nearby sites and monuments worth the detour. On the same day South of Cairo we also visited Memphis and Sakkara. Sakkara has a museum that explains...More

It's good to start out your touring of the pyramids with this little gem because it only gets better from here! Spend a little time but if you miss it, it's not a huge deal.
