We booked a 3 night river cruise with a private tour guide, and were assigned Hossam Rashwan. We could not have been given better service.

Hossam is a trained Egyptologist, and the passion he has for his job is apparent, whether describing the battle scenes depicted on the outside wall of the temples, or when decyphering the hieroglyphics to tell the stories of Kings, Pharaohs and Gods. An awesome experience to hear the history from someone like him.

Hossam created the itinerary based upon the river cruise schedule, but also worked in many off-the-beaten-track attractions for us.

In Aswan he took us to an Aromatherapy place that gives introductory tours into the perfume industry. We learned that every fragrance in the world is made of a mixture of oils still produced today. You name a brand, and they can mix a few bottles and produce the scent. Absolutely amazing.

In the Nubian Village he took us to a spice vendor, which gave a sample tour of all the unique spices in the Arabic world; some smell and some taste (watch out for the one that sounds like "dung").

We wanted to do several things not included in the river cruise, and Hossam handed all of the bookings for us, including the sunrise hot air balloon ride over Valley of the Kings, a day trip to Abydos, and to the temples of his hometown of Dendera.

Hossam also got us 'extras' on the general tours. We met the Director of Restorations in Karnak who gave us personal access to the "Sphynx Road" which was being prepared for a Presidential Inauguration visit. He even put us to work helping to reconstruct one of the sphynx statues on the road (there is now a granite statue stone on that 3km road with our personal dna on it!).

Most importantly of all, Hossam will work out a verbal coding system with you to know when a vendor is trying to overcharge you, or when a price is fair or even a bargain. He will inform you in advance what a 'fee' should be, and what a normal tip would be for specific things. I cannot tell you how much money he saved us overall.

We originally thought to do the trip on our own, but in hindsight it would have been a miserable experience. So many people out to fleece you, that it could easily ruin a vacation. Hossam took good care of us, and entertained us through everything.

I cannot recommend him highly enough.

An absolutely amazing experience with Hany at Imperial Egypt, from the beginning to the end! I was initially worried about the general security in Egypt but was reassured by Hany that there was nothing to worry about.
We did a Nile cruise on MS Alyssa for 4 days and 3 nights which I booked directly with Hany on WhatsApp from the UK!
MS Alyssa is a lovely ship and the staff are all extremely helpful. The whole trip was organised beautifully and our guide Moustafa was just outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. He took care of us and made sure we were comfortable at all times, so thank you Hany and Moustafa !

I was tasked with arranging a 4 day 3 night Nile cruise for a large group of friends. I found Imperial Egypt and Hani did a great job even though my numbers kept changing, very patient. We wound up with 39 people and it was like herding cats.

We were on the Blue Nile 1, the boat was great, good food & service. The best part was our tour guide Hady, we were a difficult group and he did so well with everyone. He really knows his stuff, a trained Egyptologist, answered all questions, was OK when people were late and even ran off to a pharmacy when one of the group got sick. I recommend this company/staff if you need a tour in Egypt.

Our tour guide, Hady, working with Hany of Imperial Egypt Tours, was excellent. He was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and communicates clearly in english. His deep dives into history were fascinating. He made good use of our time. We appreciated his insight into the cultural life of Egypt, past and present.
It’s important to note that the other couple in our group rather foolishly spent most of the cruise in their cabin. Hady made every effort to include them. They were enjoying other activities. Accommodations and services on the cruise ship, the Sarah, were also top quality. We had a very enjoyable experience.

Don't believe IMPERIALE EGYPT when they say their Nilecruise is wheelchair accessible.

IT's NOT!!

4 floor boat without elevator. SHAME ON YOU.

I was informed the ship has not got any speciel cabin for wheelchair, but no one told me I had to be carried everytime I wanted to go up or down. - And I was asked for money each time.

I felt it extremely unsafe and therefore I spent most of my 4 days in my cabin

(I was told the guided tours was amazing and informative)

Thank you Maria for your review, she contacted us many times before the trip to inquire about the vehicle and cars used for her particular condition and in all credibility she was informed of all the information about the cruise and itineraries. Called 2 days before the cruise to confirm and she assured us she would complete the cruise, unfortunately when she arrived she denied all the information I gave her. We informed the guide to help perfectly, and he did, and for the company they provided a private guide and their own vehicles to make the best trip, knowing that they booked visits with a group and not private.

We had great experience from the start, booking the tour with Hany was so easy, with full information and details of the cruise and tour, the time and places we will visit from luxor to aswan.

During the 4d3n trip, we were guided by Mostafa. Mostafa is very knowledgeable with the Egyptian ancient history , also he is very helpful during the whole duration of the trip.

It was a unforgettable moment in Egypt having Mostafa as our tour guide, many fun moments while learning about Egyptian ancient history.

We highly recommend imperial Egypt cruise and to have Mostafa as your tour guide.

Ok, so I have different feelings about this company. First off the original contact was really helpful in arranging everything for me, but when I checked into my hotel they asked for my room number, which is completely inappropriate. They do not need to know the exact room I am staying in, just where to meet me in the Lobby. Secondly the tour guide Amr was very knowledgeable. He knew tons of facts about the hieroglyphs, sphix, and all through the entire tour was extremely knowledgeable. He didn't pressure us into buying anything extra. He was really friendly and answered any questions we had, however there was an issue. He was pushing both me and my fellow tour companion to write a review before we continue the tour. He kept asking us have you written a review yet, and waited for our confirmation before we went to the next place. There are several issues with this, first I shouldn't be asked for a review until AFTER the tour is over, and secondly it is a violation of TripAdvisors terms for a person to pressure someone into writing a review. I worried if I didn't do it on time or positively that it would have negative results for the rest of the tour. Overall the tour was super fun and I had a great time, but pressuring people into writing a review is counterintuitive because it's likely to result in a bad one.

We travelled from Luxor to Aswan in December 2019. We had a private tour with Mostafa Molattam. What is unique about this trip is that the guides stay on the boat for the duration and are therefore ready to initiate each day drip after breakfast. In each port there was a driver and car waiting for the tour that day Mostafa was accommodating, passionate and extremely knowledgeable having grown up in the Valley of the Kings. This is an excellent cruise and a true bargain as it includes meals, tour guide, driver, and tickets for the temples and tombs. A big shout out to Mostafa and the baby twins from Dr. John and Lynne. We would do this trip again in a heartbeat!

What a great experience!! The attention of Imperial Egypt was great, they answered us all the questions and everything was well organized.

On our cruise, our guide was Hady. He was an amazing guide, as an Egyptologist, he shared lots of info with us. He explained us everything and aswered every question. It was so interesting and fun! He was very caring and friendly. He spoke fluent english so it was easy to undestand.

All in all, the tour was super fun and I had a great time!!

What a great experience from Hany & his team at Imperial Egypt. Great communication and well organized. A special thanks to our wonderful guide Hady. He spoke fluent English and as an Egyptologist, he was knowledgeable about anything and everything. All in all, he made learning and experiencing Egypt so much fun.
