Neighbourhood: Samseongdong / COEX
A large business hub, Samseongdong is anchored by Korea’s World Trade Center, where many important business exhibitions and meetings are held. The enormous COEX mall sprawls underground, providing a myriad of things to do and see, including a large aquarium and movie theater. For a bit of peace and zen, head over to the ornate Bongeunsa Temple which is one of Korea’s most important places of worship. Or take a stroll nearby through the tranquil royal burial grounds of Seonjeongneung, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Very nice aquarium in the COEX mall
I was walking in the COEX mall after shopping and decided to enter the aquarium. It was big with manatees and pinguins. It was perfect to see them do well taken care off. I thought it was the aquarium with the whale in, but it was not. It has also the evolution of fishes in Korea. Very good for children

    Nice experience
I was staying at a hotel near COEX Aquarium, so I decided to take a short walk there. Originally, I had plans to visit other places, but unfortunately, their tickets were sold out, so I ended up choosing COEX instead. When I went to purchase the entrance ticket, I was surprised to find out that they didn't accept cash, which I wasn't used to, so I had to use my credit card. Upon entering the aquarium, my first impression was that the fish looked like toy fish, and I briefly questioned why I had paid for admission. However, as I continued through the exhibits, especially when I reached the piranha area, I started to see larger and more fascinating fish. Despite not typically being someone who enjoys visiting aquariums, I must admit that the experience turned out to be quite enjoyable.

    What a great experience!
I visited COEX Aquarium in October. I came here on the recommendation of my friend, and it was a great experience. The performance show was very good, and the seal was so cute. The staff inside were kind and I enjoyed watching and comfortably.

Lots of variety and interesting exhibits in this aquarium. Easy to access from Metro, plenty of lockers to store bags and drinks/food onsite. Great way to spend some time out of the sun/heat.

A decent sized aquarium inside the COEX mall in Gangnam. Well worth a visit - good for kids and adults alike. It was £20 entry for an adult when we visited.

Families with children are everywhere at this mid-range aquarium, which is neither too little nor too large. Even though it's very bustling and congested on weekends, Koreans are incredibly calm and courteous. After spending an hour or two there, you won't have any regrets.

Questionable ethics all round, lots of animals look half dead in tiny spaces, but the giant pacific octopus enclosure brought me to tears. It's so tiny, he looks so sad. Never cried in an aquarium or zoo before. Strange experience, wouldn't recommend

Awesome place, especially liked sharks and jellyfish. There are several zones dedicated to the tropics, Korean fish, northern inhabitants and etc

It was the best experience among many aquariums I've ever been. Excellent service and excellent cleanliness and safety management.I will definitely visit again

어린이날 맞아 아기와 방문해봤은데 해외 어느 아쿠아리움보다 만족스러운 경험이었습니다. 방문객이 많은데도 깨끗했고 친절했습니더

This place was smaller than we expected, so we could look around quickly.
We didn't know where we should go to see mermaid show starting at 5:00pm, but the short hair staff helped us.
We really enjoyed the show since she guided us from entrance to the hall.
All staffs were kind :)
