The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Myeongdong
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.

Excellent night for the whole family regardless of native language!
This show has it all. These actors are incredibly talented and well rounded. The show is based on a group of chefs cooking experience. These actors can do it all whether its synchromizing drum beats, dancing, singing, simulated “fighting,” audience participation, knife skills, and lots of laughs. It's family friendly and you don't have to speak Korean to enjoy it and follow along. My cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing the entire time. Im so glad I participated in this show. It's a must see if you have the time. Well worth it!

    Wonderful country and culture
The food is unbelievably great. Try all the popular dishes of the country. Better than the restaurants at home. Come with an empty suitcase and buy a wardrobe. The clothes are fashion forward. Modern designs you can’t find at home at affordable prices. The summer weather is hot & humid. Best months are spring and autumn. The people are very polite and friendly. Kids love the many shops with cute merchandise and themes

    A good time.
I had a great time. It's a jolly little play with slapstick humor and no dialogue. Kid friendly. If you are looking for a play like le miserable, then go to Broadway. The actors where phenomenal artists. Acting, acrobatics and playing music.

    Amazing time! Two thumbs up.
A great wholesome entertainment for the whole family. Good balance of comedy and acrobatic performances blend into a simple storyline. The best part about the whole show is that there is plenty of spectators participation. The performers are simply fantastic, so filled with energy that it’s infectious. They are able to engage the crowd and encourage ‘volunteers’ to become part of the show. Tickets are available at on-site box office. So if ever gets tired of shopping or the crowd along Myeongdong shopping street, this would be a refreshing change.

Impressive and fun show for any age
Such a fun family show, we all laughed and had a great time. The actors are so talented and impressive. The website showed all tickets sold out for the day we had wanted to go, so I decided to just walk to the box office and they had plenty of good tickets available. Definitely sit on the main floor for more interactive possibility

Nanta is an easy show to enjoy and there is no language barrier here. The items that need to be read are in Mandarin, Japanese, Korean and English. The theatre had comfy seats with a good view of the stage but it might be worth spending more to get seats on the lower floor because of audience interactions.

There is a small cafe that sells mostly bottled drinks (which are allowed in the theatre) and a small shop that sells some merchandise. The theatre also has free lockers near the bathrooms to store bags and jackets but it is first come first serve. The bathrooms do need some help as they are a little smelly.

The theatre is located a short walk away from Myeondong station and is on the second floor of the building. The entrance is at ground level on Myeondong-Gil but can be tricky to find as the sign for the theatre is on the corner but the door signage doesn't go out until just before the show begins. The ticket box opens an hour before shows to pickup tickets. It is recommended buying tickets in advance online and they offer bigger discounts if you buy two months out. We had troubles using our foreign credit card online but thankfully they offer a discount for Visa credit card holders at the ticket box.

Energetic performance, with lot of music played by the actors with the use of simple kitchen stuff. Funny at some points, don’t expect to burst out laughing all the time. Actors performed well.

Totally engaging. Fun. Funny. What’s best is that there’s minimum dialogue so non Korean speakers can enjoy. Music and effects are generally made using kitchen utensils. Only part I don’t like is the wastage of food. What I like most is that part of the performance is the engagement with the audience. Really awesome show.
