"A talented troupe of Korean performers treats Cookin' audience to a taste of Culinary lunacy-sliced and diced to percussive perfection." - Playbill, Minetta Lane Theater - NANTA premiered in 1997 and is the longest running show in Korean history. This electrifying 90-min show, on the comically-charged efforts of four cooks who are tasked with preparing an entire wedding banquet in just one hour, is one of Korea's most popular musicals of all time. Since its first performance, this world famous non-verbal performance made a record of 20% above full capacity at the theater driving the largest number of audience in Korean history.

The show is really entertaining and funny. We enjoyed ourselves very much. There is a lot of food stalls outside the theatre building and they usually operate from about 4pm onwards.. We managed to get discount on the tickets as we booked the tickets online for weekday show.

This exceeded my expectations. It was a great time for myself and the family, despite being dragged on stage. Strikingly recommended.

Have not laughed so long or so loud for a long time. A must see Korean show. Don't need to be able to understand Korean. So much energy from the actors on stage!! Worth going to see.

We went to this show with expectations of a great time we absolutely did have a great time! The physical comedy was laugh out loud funny, the energy was contagious and there was a good amount of audience interaction. There was a guy sitting beside me who was sleeping before the show started, and yawning in the first ten minutes,... More

Highly entertaining - I am not a fan of slapstick comedy so went to the show with low expectation. I was blown away by the talented crew - they sang and dance and made music with kitchen utensils. Sit further back if you don't want to be hit by cabbage missiles and bubble balls. I am so impressed by how... More

Exceeded my expectations, a wonderful performance suitable for the whole family. Mix of music, comedy, slapstick, juggling and percussion. Heartwarming.

This is probably one of the best live shows I have watched. Absolutely entertaining. I watched the Black team performed and was blown away by the synchronization and the entertain level of the team. The show is funny, well organized and total credits to the performers. But, we felt that the staff ticket office was rather rude.

Curiosity killed the cat :) I was curious why people say this is a must-see when in Seoul, not to mention Myeongdong area. I wasn't able to watch this when I was in Seoul last 2012 so when I had the chance to visit Seoul in June 2016, I resolved to watch this on the first day of my trip.... More

Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
