Zhinxali water reservoir falls on the way towards Gudauri and Kazbegi. We reached the place in the afternoon and the views from here were amazing. There are a plenty of shops and eateries here to have some food as well as some winter wear that you can buy for your tour to Gudauri. The place also has some photo spots especially the ones with swings and other props. The colour of the water turns blue when the sky is clear and offers a spectacular view of the landscape. Our tour guide also explained us the brief history about the place and how the landscape has changed over the years.

Zhinvali water reservoir is an artificial lake located on the Aragvi river. It's used to supply water to Tbilisi city. The reservoir is surrounded by mountains, making it a very picturesque place. The reservoir is visible from the famous Anauri fortress. It can be visited while travelling from Tbilisi to Kazbegi. Nice place to take relax and enjoy the view.

JInvali (Zhinvali) , a manmade lake created in 1985, is an excellent stop for less than hour. The reservoir and dam are photogenic on a warm , sunny day in summer. Get out of the car and stretch your legs. Don't forget your camera.
