climb up to Fortress and you can see the whole view of Tbilisi, we use to just walk around and accidentally climb up to this Fortress, almost out of breath while walking up to the hill, and its worth it, a breath taking view will surprise you from the top.

Also called the Mother Fortress of Tbilisi, Narikala is an ancient symbol of Tbilisi’s defence. Very historic, and a it has a good trail for hiking. A must see in Georgia.

It is the most famous ancient monument of Tbilisi and antiquities, the townspeople call it "the heart and soul of the city." The date of construction of the fortress called about IV century. In 1827 the castle was destroyed by an earthquake and since then the citadel is not fully recovered. But still preserved stone towers of Narikala remain the... More

Take the cabin lift up to the fortress. There is plenty of places where you can see the whole city. Visit "mother of Georgia". Walk down to city centre and end up in the antique bath area of Tbilisi

very good walk-around tour. Access it either by funicular from the other side of the river, or directly from the sulfur baths on foot.

Narikala is a historical fortress on a steep hill overlooking the great view of the city. As we descended the citadel, we spotted other interesting locales until we reached Abanotubani (sulfur baths) which is located at the foot of Narikala. If you wanna have a day tour on your own, I advise that you start from here.

Picturesque ruins of old fortress. Fortress has remained badly, structures remained a little, but the beautiful view of Tbilisi opens from here. I recommend to rise with the ropeway here, and to go down to the Old city on foot.

One of my favorite places that i visited during my tour in Georgia! The view from top is spectacular. I would recommend this place to visit first when you arrive in Tbilisi. It will help you understand the city orientation. Very well built ancient Fortless!
