There’re roughly 13 paintings of Niko Pirosmani’s artworks, that gallery hasn’t offered much to see without it!
Btw, a woman guild works on the first floor was ignoring customer, such as I asked her what’s these sculptures made of? She replied:”No English”.
Then I used google translation to ask, she said:”No”? Again?
I’m wondering why is she working in here without answering basic questions? Meanwhile, she was chatting and typing her personal phone for quite a while!
What’s the value for my ticket 25 Lari?

We were disappointed! For 21€ (we were 2 adults and 1 kid) we’ve seen 3 small halls with around 70 pictures. Two halls were closed, but nobody informed us about that in advance. The personnel of the museum was very unfriendly.
Fazit: there is nothing to see and you don’t feel very welcomed here

A must go place even for those who will stay in tbilisi for only 1 day. Contrary to reviews, entrance fee is not expensive (equal to the price of only 2 cups of coffee), and is absolutely worth it. Most of the employees cannot speak english, but the ones who give you ticket and the one in the shop can. As far as i understand, sometimes they send some certain artworks to other exhibitions, so if you are planning to go there to see a certain artwork, it is better to check before you go.

(About the Niniko Morbedadze's artwork: I was very fortunate to visit there and see. You can see Georgian culture and daily colors/moments, but most importantly the face expressions!)

the ticket price does not match the quality of the exposition, although there are interesting works by Pirosmani and Chkhartishvili. The museum staff is not very friendly.

This (I heard private) National Gallery on Rustaveli 11 is an absolute rip-off: 25 lari for THREE rooms. I couldn't believe it, so I asked the cashier, who confirmed that it was indeed only three rooms .... One is dedicated to around 10 paintings by Pirosmanoshvili.

I had a great time in this gallery , saw 3different Georgian artist from different time and style too. The shop is very nice for a little souvenirs, postcards or books. There is also a coffee place upstairs but was closed.
12lari entrance fee is reasonable.
Dont forget to listen the stories behind the painting of Niko pirosmani. (Headphone station) As it explains a lot...especially about his black and white giraffe.Love his paintings .

Their exhibits were well organized and the Georgian art rooms showed a beautiful history of the country.

Entry was easy and pleasant compared to the experience at the National Gallery but, they did not have/could not sell combo tickets for both museums although the tickets were advertised at the entrance. The gallery is not huge and focuses on Georgian artists. One area was dedicated to women artists. It didn’t take long to get around the gallery but, it was very enjoyable and there are some excellent artworks displayed. I highly recommend a visit.
