One of the most beautiful scenes can be seen with this line aerial tramway which is located beside Rike park . The cost of tramway is 5 gel which can be paid by using debit card as well . Must be visited both in the daylight as well as night life . The end point takes to very beautiful place called Narikala fortress . Also there is a entrance for botanical garden as well .

I really enjoyed riding the cable car. To travel, you need to buy and top up a transport card in advance, which is valid for the metro and buses. The cost is approximately 2.5 lari.
The card costs 2 GEL and is needed in any case to travel by public transport.
As you ascend and from the mountain, stunning views of Tbilisi open up.
There are several cafes where you can drink and eat fast food.
I highly recommend taking the cable car up and down.
Although we walked down.
There are several stairs, the descent is not long.
And if you take the last staircase closer to the fortress, you can go into it, and halfway on the right side, there is an entrance to the Botanical Garden, where you can also have a good rest and take a walk. Entrance to the garden is 4 GEL. There is nothing outstanding there in November, just a nice park and a small waterfall.

So there is most of the time a long line up… most of them are waiting to buy a ticket in cash at the ticket office. If we would have known we would have saved quite some time, because with a credit card e.g. Visa you can just walk to the barrier and let your card be charged and you are ready to go.
A short but spectacular ride and view is awaiting you.
For the walk down we use one of the two next to the Mother of Georgia.
It’s a little adventure especially when you’re with kids.

It doesn't lead anywhere. Entertainment for those who have never ridden a funicular.
Originally the road led to the National Botanic Garden, but now this passage is blocked so that everyone can walk through the central entrance and pay GEL 4 (the garden is not worth this money). It was also possible to go from there to Nirikala Fortress, but the passage to it is also blocked. It only remains to go down through the private sector or ride the same rope back for an extra GEL 2.5.

Visited in May 2021 luckily on my last day of tiblisi it was started again as lockdown timing is extended till 11 PM in Georgia. The view was breaking. The ride was comfy with jaw dropping view of the city, bridge of peace and tiblisi. Ticket cost 3 Gel per side for per person and it was simply worth paying for. Loved it
How to reach there it depends where you are. As it was on the walking distance from my hotel so we hardly walked 5 mins to reach there.

Excellent! It offers a comfortable ascent/descent to the castle and the statue of Mother Georgia with an amazing view of the old town. It costs 2.5 GEL each way (<1 euro) and you need the metromoney card for the MMM of Tbilisi (which if you don't have it costs another 2 GEL). I would recommend taking the cable car up and walking down through the old town.

The cable car is a fun way to see the city from above.
If you are in possession of a Tbilisi OV card, you pay 2 gel for a one-way ticket.
They can even top up your card at the cash register.
We went up by cable car, and took some pictures of the view.
Then walked down the path.
If you don’t feel like walking, you just take the cable car back.

Cheapest ride I have ever had on a arial tramway ever which was a good start. Of course, the ride only lasts around 4 minutes but you get a beautiful view over Tbilisi and it is interesting to see Mother Georgia up close.
They do not accept credit card payment so keep this in mind

We headed here around lunchtime as I'd checked online and it said it opened at 12-noon, but there were already people queuing and the cable car was operating at 11.45, so who knows!
Anyway, the cable car entrance is a short walk away from The Bridge of Peace. We had to queue for a little bit to use it but it didn't take too long - if it's hot, bear in mind there's not much shade in the park. It's fairly cheap and the journey takes a couple of minutes in either direction. We only went one-way up to the fortress and then walked back down.
Worth doing for another view of the city.

Starting from Rike Park, it is a short trip up, however, it is the best way to go up to Mother of Georgia, Narikala Fort and Botanical Garden.
It will give a good chance to see the Old Town from up and the easy way to reach the mountain.
You may book both way (up & down) or you can just book one way.
You might need wait a short time in the queue depending on number of people waiting.

Can anyone confirm if this is running? I noticed it was temporarily out of service on July 7 I believe, but I'm hoping/guessing that was just for the day?

Hi, we were there the weekend of July 15 and it was running every day (we went on the Saturday). The earliest you could go was 10am I think. When we flew out of Tbilisi on the 26th it was still running to my knowledge.

You have to have a tourist card and get credit on it (you can get it at the ticket office). I believe it costs 2 Lari each way. It is a lovely walk down.
