An architectural anomaly. Interesting building with fascinating structure missing any uniform pattern. Seeing is believing. Worth a stop and a shot from a wide angle lens.

Originally built as the Department of Land Transportation during the Soviet era and now owned by the Bank of Georgia.

Unique for sure.

The Soviet era building is located on outskirts of the city on the banks of the Kura river. You will definitely pass by it if you are heading northwards out of the city and it is difficult to miss given its unique architecture. The building is shaped like a giant interchange with roads at multiple levels crossing in different directions. A central core supports several extensions at right angles to each other. The concept is to reduce the building's footprint thereby providing more space for nature.

The building has a unique architecture which makes it difficult to miss.

When you leave the center city and heading to Metzcheta as we did, you encounter this strange construction built in the time of the Soviet regime. It is really very exceptional and myself I never saw a building so unusual. I cannot even say if I like it or not.

If you leave the beautiful city of Tbilisi and go on an excursion in the country, you might pass by this construction, about which you can at least say that it strikes the eye. It was built in Soviet times over fourty years ago and is very interesting indeed, even though you might abhor it.

Being lovers of brutalism architecture, this building is right up our alley. It is easy to see heading out on a day tour, looks like lego blocks, definitely worth a look

Among the many buildings built with modern architecture in Tbilisi, one of the most original is the headquarters of the Bank of Georgia. It was designed by architects George Chakhava and Zurab Jalaghania for the Ministry of Highway Construction of the Georgian SSR and completed in 1975. Engineer Temur Tkhilava. I like it so much. Since you are passing through a busy road, it is difficult to stop and take photos.
