Great place to shop for traditional outfits and jewelry especially ruby. Very pricy however. Also available labs to check if your precious stones are real or not.

A little disappointed .. nothing much, except for clothes and trinkets .. was hoping to get to experience & interact with local authentic traders .. if it’s a 1st visit to Yangon, still a must visit destination

Good market to get local handicrafts. Clothes and wooden Carvings. Stall holders were very polite, non aggressive. They are willing to bargain a little. There’s a good foot massage place ‘Happy FEet’ on the top floor. Good place to chill for an hour and get...More

This market had not changed over the years. There are tonnes of gems and semi precious stones. The sellers are so helpful I even procured a Burmese SIM card for the locals (registration was not in place then) and so one!

It's in such a busy area. Must get there early before the Yangon traffic. But expect tourists prices

Dare I say it they have the cheapest Souvenirs compared to all the countries in South East Asia. Plus their products are in good quality, from clothing to paintings and all products and souvenirs you are looking for. There is a new Bogyoke Aung San...More

Tons of small stalls. Many of the stalls are similar. Jewelry in the middle. Food to one side. Textiles (longyi and scarves, as well as textiles to be sewn to order) to the other. It’s interesting to walk through to see what people are buying....More

Haggling is the name of the game. If you like it, but don't like the price, keep looking because another vendor will have it, too.

This is a huge market undercover. Worth a quick look, even if there is so many stalls all selling the same stuff, so no need to walk every isle.

The market is located near the junction city mall. Burmese people explained that the market name is the name of their independence leader. There were quality jewelkery, souvenirs and others. The price are reasonable price. You should visit there when you are in Yangon.

Out of my experience I would say, it will be closed as most of the city/daily life gets to standstill during Thingyan. It's the same in the city, where almost ALL shops are closed. But this answer is not 100% updated. . .
