This little church tells the history of the Armenians ( Jews), the development of commerce in Rangoon and construction of the historic buildings in the centre of town. There is a small illustrated exhibition which is well worth seeing.

I wonder how many people would know how important the Armenian community was in Yangon at one time. It was a fascinating place to visit if a little sad, because of the tradegy suffered in the Second World War

After the hullabaloo of all the Pagodas it was a relief to visit this quiet, out of the way, unexpectedly peaceful church. We were the only ones there and we took the opportunity to sit quietly and gather our thoughts before braving the Yangon madness...More

The church is on the heritage trail and well worth a visit. The place is cool and the music played in the background encourages a pause, a meditation or a prayer even..
