Great way to experience and soak up the local culture. Fascinating journey watching food sellers peddle their wares while watching the changing landscape. Highlyrecommend.

I booked a tour with Urban Adventure to get an experience on Yangon Circular train. Good sightseeing trip. It is an impactful trip for me. It may change one's perspective on their own life, and hopefully bring back some positive changes.

Well worth spending an hour or two getting out of the relatively plush yangon downtown and seeing a little of the local life. Not clean not air con not sanitized in any way. We jumped on near the market and off at a station out...More

A cheap (30 cents) way to spend 3.5 hours mixing in with everyday life in Yangon. Not clean, not sanitary, very hot, not plush, but very real and also safe. Watching the people getting on and off at various stops, seeing the city and countryside...More

We rode the line for an hour or so before grabbing a taxi back to downtown. It’s a methodical journey with authentic rocking carriages. People come and go with produce to sell. Fantastic value at 200MMK per ticket. I would ride it again.

Most of the locals in Yangon using this simple train for their transportation around the city Wow this is very easy and the best way for a foreigner to experience the local lifestyle of Myanmar. The simple and a bit older trains running around the...More

The circular train trip around Yangon takes about three hours and visits numerous towns. It’s not a comfortable, air conditioned journey, because you’re traveling like the locals, but they make the trip entertaining and the rural scenes and markets are fascinating. It’s a sensory overload...More

At about HK$1.14 (or 14/15 U.S. Cents), this is possibly the cheapest three-hour train ride in the world. Do not expect a comfortable air-conditioned carriage with clean toilets or tidy stations. You will see life as it is actually lived next to the railway line....More

About 3 hours is about right for the entire loop. You can get off at any of the stops on the way. In that case, once you finish exploring the area you went off, just take a taxi back to where ever you want to go. Either... More
