This pagoda seems as a museum, a golden museum. Inside of pagoda have a lot of silver and gold stuff and Buddhist image. Local people will go to inside for praying, please don't interrupt them.

One of my favourite pagodas here in Yangon for sure. Would visit again with family and have a peaceful time meditate. :)

It is located in Botahtaung township of Yangon. Car-parking is available. Many tourists from Thailand also visit there. Its not very good for photo scene. Its one of the famous pagoda in Yangon.

Didn't know what to expect until we went inside the pagoda. Gold-foiled plated walls, with rare and precious contributions from people on display. The interior is air-conditioned and thus not warm at all. Recommend to visit to appreciate all the art works.

The place is very near to Yangon river front. A bit crowded. But good to see many people nearby. A special flower is available nearby the Pagoda.

Liked and enjoyed the place but if you have to choose one just go to Shwedagon pagoda instead. This is nice, people (locals) are so friendly and you have a big lot to stay and rest.

The gold walls inside as you walk in were incredible. The outside was cool, although a little disappointing that some of the parts were under renovation. I also loved all the artifacts inside the Pagoda - they were beautiful.

This is interesting as it must be one of the few pagodas that you can go right inside, even see where the 'relic' is located. And all the offerings on display.

While the entry fee is a bit steep at 6,00p kyat per person, this is definitely an important temple for local people. The golden stupa is impressive and the internal museum is a very interesting feature. The place was very crowded when we there and preparations were under way for a big festival it seemed. Its quite a large complex with various things to see, including a large brass Buddha in a nearby mirrored hall that has been returned to Myanmar by the British. The immediate local neighborhood is worth exploring too, especially the religious souvenir market across from the main entrance.
