A little different from some of the others with a maze type of setup inside. Many things to look at for the tourist entrance price and shops across the road too. Well worth an hour.

Smaller and less impressive than some of Yangons other pagodas however what is impressive is that you can see the ornate and decorated Buddha relics which are closed to public access in other pagodas. Entry fee is 6,000 kyat per person as a tourist

This is easily combinable with a visit to the city's center, a coffee at The Strand Hotel, and some other pagodas nearby. It's particularly rewarding to visit it for its inner golden shrine which is quite an experience to visit.

This is a significant pagoda housing the hair relic of the Buddha. We visited in the evening and had night views when the lights shone on the golden temple.

You must go inside the main pagoda here, inside you will see the gold wall and there look very peaceful. Lots of people come here for short meditation. But please be-careful you should wear modest dress here.

Botahtaung Pagoda according to tradition is home to the first Buddha relics to reach Myanmar and it was golden opportunity to visit a pagoda which was alive. Tourists were in the minority, as the worshippers and other visitors continued with their activies - praying, taking...More

Located at river side, at the vicinity of Yangon. Worth visiting there. There is container yard and jetty after the Pagoda. You may take a walk around at Jetty or take the small boat ride in the river :)).
