This place is a must visit if you come to Yangon. If you have time try to visit late evening or early morning for best views and less people

This is one attraction not to be missed on visit to Yangon. It is just a wonderful experience. Hiring tour guide is a must if you wish to learn about the history of the Pagoda.

I visited Pagoda here three times and found new learn and experience every time. You must see how believe of people to Pagoda and how long of believing. Impressive.

Definitely the highlight of Yangon. Extremely impressive pagoda. You'll have to wear a longyi if you wear shorts (including males), it is provided for free with your entrance ticket (6,000 kyat). All entrances looked like they had (based on directions - N,S,E,W) foreign tourist ticket...More

Not much to add in regards to this spectacular Pagoda complex. I was blown away and inspired. I'd highly recommend going a bit before sunset and watching as daylight turns to sunset and sunset to evening.

Yes, I think so. Ther was several lifts, but I do not remember if you was able to pas into the rooms whit a wheel chair.

Taxis are the main way to get around. It is also a wonderful city to walk around. Very safe with lots to see and enjoy.
