This is a difficult review to write as the staff on our Pandaw cruise from Mandalay to Bagan were truly magnificent. If I could rate the staff alone I would give them 5 stars. They bent over backwards to help everybody on board and make sure we were comfortable, cleaning up after us and serving us whatever we liked, whenever... More

Our river boat was the RV Kindat Pandaw and booked through Voyages Jules Verne. There were only 30 guests on board. We completed 630 river miles, boarding at Mandalay and travelling up stream past Katha and into Kachin State through the first Defile. Our return journey was to Bagan. The entire trip was a delight, not least the wonderful boat... More

We have just completed a two day, two night Pandaw cruise from Mandalay to Bagan. The boat was a good size with only 24 passengers and a large exceptionally helpful crew. The boat was vintage style with teak panelled air conditioned cabins and highly polished teak decks. The bathrooms were fantastic with masses of hot water, good showers, fresh towels and smart... More

I and a friend took the 7 night Pandaw cruise to the north of Mandalay. There are very few places left where you can travel free from other tourists, this is one you can. Amazing. The itinerary was interesting, most days we had 2 stops during which we left the boat and explored the local village, town, pagoda or even... More

We used Belmond to book all of our arrangements in Myanmar, including the Taste of Myanmar cruise on the Road to Mandalay ship. The logistics and cruise were great, but when my wife injured her knee in an eBike accident and we had to cut our trip short, the people of Belmond showed how they really add value for travel... Flew into Yangon (Rangoon) on 29 October 2016 to join the river cruise vessel Princess Panhwar for a 2 week cruise on the Irrawaddy River travelling upstream towards Mandalay. A great ship, great crew, great atmosphere on board, great food, excellent service, nothing was too much trouble! Visited many riverside villages and towns on the route involving a great insight... Food, service, tours and décor were top notch. We met some really fun people, and had an amazing time. My partner and I have... More

My Husband and I have just returned from a 7 night Cruise on the Palaw Kandaw from Bagan to Mandalay. On board, the crew were fantastic (21 passengers to approx.. 16 staff). Nothing was too much trouble and every request was always received with a friendly smile. The Teak-panelled cabins are very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was surprisingly... More

Have just returned from a 7 day River Cruise with Cruiseco aboard Cruiseco Explorer. The entire tour I booked included a 3 day extension in Inle Lake and 2 nights in Mandalay and Yangon. What a wonderful experience. The ship was beautiful with stately rooms and fantastic service throughout the cruise. The staff aboard were there to cater to your... More

I travelled with Pandaw on the once-a-year spectacular 20 day “Chindwin and Upper Irrawaddy” cruise. The itinerary was better than I ever could have expected. This was my fourth visit to Burma (over a period of 32 years) and I hoped to see new treasures. I was not disappointed. Beyond the dazzling monuments of Pagan or Mandalay I was enchanted... More
