After nearly getting fleeced at the main market in Port Vila we stumbled across Gallery blong Vanuatu (Cafe des arts). A treasure trove of excellent handmade art works both wooden and stone. The owner is helpful and his prices are very reasonable.

Reasonably priced local artwork - It was noticeably cheaper than the " handicraft market " on the way down to the port Very helpful proprietor

Popped in today after reading the other reviews and absolutely agree this little gallery is worth a visit. The host is delightful and entertaining. I purchased a few bits and pieces to take home and recommend you do the same.

Had this Gallery recommended and it didn't disappoint. Like an Aladdin's cave. So many items I wanted to buy but limited space in suitcase, although could have had them shipped home but cost a little prohibitive to UK. Thank you Raynald.

It is not easy to find local handicrafts in Vanuatu but this store only has genuine handicrafts made by local people. Definitely worth a visit. We bought a mask carving and several small statutes that were light and inexpensive - handy for souvenir gifts. The...More
