This place is truly horrible, wild animals kept in totally inappropriate and appaling conditions. Fed paw-paw and chased by bratty out of control kids and their bogan, tattoo riddled parents off cruise ships. The Vanuatu tourist authorities must close this establishment, for the betterment of...More

This review is for the Bluewater Aquarium, sometimes known as Naiwe Beach Turtle Sanctuary. Please do not come here. Whilst in a lovely location, there is absolutely nothing about this which is a sanctuary and the turtles are allowed to be manhandled by anyone without...More

It was a nice place with nice people, but I think that the staff should be more stringent to tourists, that are just rude to the turtles and animals and do not regard the signs like "do not touch the baby turtles"... I don't understand...More

The baby turtles were a hit with the young kids. Hand feeding the adults and getting in the water with them is a great introduction for my future young divers (5 and 8). Nice to see endangered coconut crabs. Great photo ops. BBQ lunches available...More

Loved seeing the turtles, but did not love seeing the sharks contained in concrete cages. My kids wanted to know why they were there. I wonder if the turtles are really released back to the wild? Loved that the kids could hold the turtles and...More

Pretty much feel the same way everyone else does. A 2 metre bull shark stuck in a small pool. A 200 year old turtle pushed to shore by a worker, then dragged by its flipper! A much prettier part of efate than port vila though....More

It's such a beautiful experience to get to swim with & feed the turtles but I feel awful for them at the same time... being kept in a small concrete enclosure is not nice. There's loads of gorgeous baby turtles which we were told they...More

I enjoyed visiting the location however I think you have to keep an open mind. They are raising the young turtles from hatchlings which you can pick up and put in your hand. They release them back into the ocean when they are a couple...More

Visited the Bluewater Island Resort when our ship was in port. Have been to Vanuatu a number of times so our cab driver suggested thought we try something different. It cost us more in the taxi fare but it was well worth it. During the...More
