This is the main tourist strip in the area. Easy to park and access to the coral beach so good. Not much to see under the water, a number of sea stars. Safe and clean. Expensive to get a drink at the local bar.

We are staying a stones throw from here and it's a lovely place. Quite quiet, the beach is nice and the water calm. There are a few places to eat as well. There are also nice sunsets over the water.

This is one oif the special places in Noumea. The beach was closed due to pollution from recent rains. We didn't see any sign but were chased out by the Life Guard. Lots of restaurants so good place to dine. Be careful in your selection!!

One of the beaches within Noumea town. The bay is protected so very calm water and minimal wind. Pontoon out in the bay to swim to. Wooden furniture positioned just above sand line handy! Open showers on beach

nice place to spend a few hours, the food is delicious but super expensive. the fact that is a lagoon allows you to walk and walk and walk deep in and still have the water to your waist.

BY DEFAULT? Well yeah. Fact is the other NOUMEA mainland beaches I know are underwhelming which makes LEMON BAY (BAIE DES CITRONS), an ordinary beach by world standards, okay by default. POSITIVES - SHELTERED: The beach is set deep within the bay, protected by the...More

Apparently this is the calmest water in Noumea and this pretty bay is the perfect place for swimming and walking along the knotted path.

We walked to Baie Des Citrons from our accommodation in Anse Vata. A beautiful walk of about 20 minutes right beside the Baie. The beach itself very good for swimming with facilities for changing, showering, or just sitting...even seats down on the sand itself and...More

The beach is backed palm trees offering shade. There are showers in a few places and water taps for washing sandy feet. There is a cycle path along most of the bay. Shops line the other side of the road. These include cafes, eateries, boutiques...More

Bus lines 10 and 11 go from Centre Ville (the town centre) to Baie des Citrons (Lemon Bay). Bus stops are marked by white pillars on the side of the road. Sometimes there is a shelter too, but not always. The bus routes... More
