We stayed at the Nouvata Hotel right on Anse Vata Beach and walked the beachfront every day. Tree-lined with lots of tables or benches to sit and enjoy the view and cool breezes. Locals play pétanque, walk their dogs and just gather for picnics -...More

Walk the foreshore and have a good look around. We used the Hop on Hop off bus of Lyvai - they were clean, friendly and efficient. Wish we had got the taxi boat to Duck Island from here.

The setting is gorgeous and very convenient. However, litter is a problem and perhaps one that may be mitigated by having more bins? Or perhaps local government needs to run some campaigns on litter? The day I swam was a bit cloudy and windy but...More

We spent the afternoon at Anse Vata beach. It was ok, just ok. There was nothing that stood out as amazing. The beach at the resort was just as nice so I wouldn’t bother going back.

The beach is lovely in the mornings but very windy in the afternoon - fine if you want to wind surf. Good for snorkeling in the mornings. Has a great fitness trail along the promenade.

Noumea has great beaches, not crowded, white sand and clear water. I like Anse Vata. The only issue is that water is cold most part of the year.

I'm sure that other peoples will say this too, but it's a nice beach spoiled by the prevailing wind. If you want a day at the beach, go round the corner to Lemon bay, it's sheltered and much nice to sit and swim. Alternatively, go...More

There are 2 Water taxi terminal in the Anse Bata Beach. You pay per person, round trip, around 18 USD... about 2-3 km from your cruise terminal. A taxi is suggested.
