Less than 10 minutes offshore from Noumea by water taxi, this tiny island is well worth a visit. You can walk around it in little more than 5 minutes. Half of the centre is roped off to protect the bird life. The rest is a sculpture...More

Extremely good snorkeling but very pricey. Get your snorkel gear from glass bottom boat operators. Plenty of fish and very clear, beach is all coral but very nice. If you want a deck chair you’ll pay and meals drinks very very costly. We enjoyed the...More

5mins on a water taxi from our hotel and we were on an idyllic tropical island. We took our own snorkelling gear and for the amateur snorkeller this island was superb. There were so many colourful fish and so much marine life to see by...More

We went twice to Ile aux Canards while in Nouméa visiting friends. We brought our own snorkelling gear with us. The first trip on a Saturday was after initially spending the day at Ilôt Maitre for a picnic. The tide was out so the snorkelling...More

We made two visits to the island as we enjoyed it so much. The coral was easily accessible and the sea was shallow. You could hire a hut, get a drink at the bar and walk round the island in 15 minutes. Access in the...More

We did a day trip out here and it was amazing - the snorkelling is insane, so many fish, and lots of colourful coral! There’s a marked out trail to follow to make sure you see all the good bits too! Getting there - you...More

Very close to Noumea. you can take a round trip with a single ticket in a taxi boat. Take your snorkeling equipment with you and go do the snorkeling route. It's awesome! I totally recommend to do it

It looks a good idea, but it's just 1200 XPF a person to go on a boat to a beach that isn't as good as the free Lemon bay. There are chairs that you have to rent by the hour or walk round to the...More

The day I went there were only 2 taxi's running - and there was a ship load of people there. Hence we waited approx 1.5hrs either end. Do not go over in bad weather - the ride is very uncomfortable and scary.
