This place is green and refreshing. It is spacious and offers lots of seating and places to sit and rest in the shade. It can get quite busy with locals in the evenings.

This is a large garden area in the city centre. There are a couple of good cafes there - we have had a lovely crepe at the place on the furthest edge a few times. It is green and leafy, and the locals like to...More

The square is centrally situated in the city. Apart from the eponymous coconut palms, there are lots of shady trees at the edge of the park, making it a pleasant place to sit and people-watch. A friendly local person initiated a conversation with me. Lots...More

Place de Cocotiers is the beating heart of Nouméa. This is a good place to get your bearings and to begin a city tour.

I really enjoyed the setting as it's a really nice park in the heart of Noumea's downtown area. Definitely bring a bottle of water with you because it's expensive for food and water purchases.

Underrated place, good to have some green areas left, even in a small town like Nouméa where it tends to look like a concrete jungle even though buildings and surroundings are flat compared to other major cities around the world. Plenty of eateries all around...More

Hi Anna, I would advise you to contact Oleti Tours. They offer great tours. One in the south, with lots of swimming for kids. I know they have a website. Emily
